Profile

The ‘L’ handle is squared at both ends, so it matches JWL’s L-series thru-bolt door handles and L cabinet pulls for a consistent profile through a bathroom. The ‘U’ towel bar inside returns to the glass at both ends. Both are 1″ x 1/2″ D-profile bar, hand-welded, in Brushed, Polished, Matte Black, Satin Brass PVD or White.

Installation

Handle and towel bar mount as one assembly through two holes in the glass with the included connection hardware; center-to-center follows the length ordered, see the DWG file. Have the glass drilled before tempering. Suitable for 3/8″ and 1/2″ (10–12 mm) tempered glass. Optional colour-matched or split-finish backplates are sold separately and raise projection to 2 3/8″ (60 mm) per side.

Care

Rinse and dry after use; clean with mild soap on a soft cloth. Avoid abrasive pads and chlorine or acid cleaners on coated finishes. Limited lifetime residential warranty on materials and workmanship (commercial: 5 yr brushed stainless, 2 yr coated). Full terms: jwlhome.com/warranty

Frequently asked

What size shower door handle with towel bar should I buy?

Choose from 18-1/2″, 24-1/2″ and 30-1/2″ lengths; each has its own center-to-center hole spacing, shown on the PDF spec sheet. If the glass is already drilled, match that spacing. If not, 24-1/2″ is the usual choice on a 72″–80″ frameless door, 30-1/2″ on full-height panels.

What glass thickness does the L+U set fit?

The set is intended for 3/8″ and 1/2″ (10–12 mm) tempered glass, the standard for frameless shower enclosures, and connection hardware for the glass is included. For thinner framed-shower glass or thicker architectural panels, contact JWL before ordering. Holes must be cut before tempering; do not drill tempered glass.

What is the difference between L+U, J+U and I+U?

All three have a ‘U’ towel bar inside the shower. The outside handle differs: ‘L’ has both ends squared, ‘J’ has one rounded end, and ‘I’ is a straight bar with open ends. Pick the profile that matches the JWL door handles or cabinet pulls used elsewhere in the home.

Which finish should I use in a shower?

All five finishes — Brushed, Polished, Matte Black, Satin Brass PVD and White — are on solid 304 stainless steel. Brushed and Polished are bare stainless and simplest to maintain. The coated finishes hold up well in showers when rinsed, dried and cleaned without abrasives or chlorine-based products.

How fast does it ship, and what is the warranty?

In-stock sets ship in 1–3 workdays from Vancouver, BC to Canada and the US; orders over ship free. The set carries a limited lifetime residential warranty on materials and workmanship (commercial: 5 yr brushed stainless, 2 yr coated). Full terms are at jwlhome.com/warranty.
