Description
The ‘T’ Series is JWL’s single-point cabinet knob: a compact solid 304 stainless steel pull measuring 1″W x 1/2″L x 1.5″H that mounts through one 5 mm hole with the included 1 7/8″ break-off 8-32 screw. Use it on cabinet doors, small drawers and narrow fronts where a bar pull will not fit, or to pair with the ‘I’, ‘J’ and ‘L’ Series pulls in the same five finishes. Profile
The ‘T’ knob is a short stem with a flat-topped grip, hand-welded from solid 304 stainless steel and finished to match the 1/2″ x 1/4″ bar of JWL’s cabinet pulls. It is the one single-fixing item in the range. Because it needs only one hole, it suits doors under 12″ wide, upper cabinets with narrow stiles, and retrofits where an old knob hole already exists.
Sizing
A knob has no center-to-center dimension; place it 2-3″ in from the opening edge on doors and centred on drawers under 12″ wide. Installation
One 1 7/8″ break-off 8-32 screw is included. Drill a single 5 mm hole, snap the screw at the groove closest to the front thickness, and tighten from inside the door or drawer. Standard 3/4″ (19 mm) fronts need no extra hardware. Wipe with a damp cloth and mild soap; avoid chlorine cleaners and abrasive pads on all finishes. When should I use a knob instead of a bar pull, and which JWL pull sizes go with it?
Use the ‘T’ knob on doors and drawers under about 12″ wide, narrow stiles, or where a single existing hole must be reused. For wider fronts pair it with the ‘I’ Series (128, 192, 256, 320 mm), ‘J’ Series or ‘L’ Series (5″, 7.5″, 10″, 12.5″) cabinet pulls in the same finish; all are solid 304 stainless with matching finish names.
What hole size and front thickness does the knob need?
Drill one 5 mm hole for the included 1 7/8″ break-off 8-32 screw. The screw is grooved so you snap it to length for standard 3/4″ (19 mm) fronts and thicker or thinner panels within its range; for unusually thick fronts, buy a longer 8-32 machine screw locally. No backplate or second fixing is required.
Do the five finishes match JWL’s pulls and door handles?
Yes. Brushed, Polished, Matte Black, Satin Brass PVD and White are the same finishes applied to every JWL stainless product, including the ‘I’, ‘J’ and ‘L’ cabinet pulls, appliance handles and door handles. Is the knob suitable for bathrooms and laundry rooms?
Yes. It is solid 304 stainless steel, so it tolerates humidity and everyday cleaning in bathrooms, laundry rooms and kitchens. Clean with mild soap and water and avoid chlorine-based cleaners and abrasive pads, especially on the coated Matte Black, White and Satin Brass PVD finishes.
