A single door handle in hand-welded solid 304 stainless steel with a thru-bolt mount, a 2″ (51 mm) projection from the door face and three lengths: 18 1/2″, 24 1/2″ and 30 1/2″ (18″, 24″ and 30″ center to center). Choose the ‘J’ or the ‘L’ profile — mirror images of one another, both with squared ends and the return on opposite sides. Same bar, same finishes, same price. Both handles use the same 1″ x 1/2″ D-section bar: flat back against the door, rounded face in the hand. The ‘J’ and ‘L’ are mirror images of one another: identical bar and squared ends, with the return running the opposite way. Use one on its own, or pair them so the returns mirror at the centre of a French-door fridge or a pair of pantry doors. Pair either with the ‘I’ (both ends straight) from the same series when a kitchen mixes appliance panels, pantry doors and cabinetry — finishes, lengths and bar section are identical across the series.

Installation

Single-sided: the handle mounts with two thru-bolts from the back of the door or panel, with no visible fasteners on the face. Connection hardware for doors 3/4″ to 2 1/4″ thick is included. Two-sided doors use the back-to-back ‘J’+’L’ set, which mounts through a single set of holes. DWG, 3D and PDF drawings are in Downloads. Care

Solid 304 stainless steel is corrosion-resistant in kitchens and bathrooms. Wipe with a damp cloth and mild soap; avoid chlorine-based cleaners and abrasive pads, especially on the coated Matte Black, Satin Brass PVD and White finishes. Check the thru-bolts once a year and snug them if the door has moved.

What is the difference between the ‘J’ and the ‘L’?

Only the handing. The ‘J’ and ‘L’ are mirror images of one another — both have squared ends on the same bar, with the return on opposite sides. Bar section, projection, lengths, finishes and price are identical, so they can be mixed across one kitchen.

How far does the handle project from the door?

2″ (51 mm) from the face of the door to the outside of the bar, on all three lengths. If you need a handle on both faces of the door, see the back-to-back ‘J’+’L’ set: 2″ per side without backplates, or 2 3/8″ (60 mm) per side with backplates.

What door thickness does the thru-bolt hardware fit?

Fixing hardware for doors and panels from 3/4″ (19 mm) to 2 1/4″ (57 mm) thick is included with every thru-bolt handle. For thicker doors, contact JWL for longer bolts before ordering.

Is this handle suitable for a panel-ready Sub-Zero, Thermador or Miele refrigerator?

Yes. Thru-bolt mounting is the standard method for panel-ready appliance doors. Confirm the panel thickness is within 3/4″–2 1/4″ and choose a length whose center-to-center spacing (18″, 24″ or 30″) suits the panel height; drawings with hole spacing are in the Downloads section.

Will the finish rust or chip?

The handle is solid 304 stainless steel, which is corrosion-resistant in kitchens and bathrooms. Polished and Brushed are the bare steel; Matte Black, Satin Brass PVD and White are bonded coatings over the stainless. All JWL hardware carries a limited lifetime residential warranty on materials and workmanship; commercial use is covered for 5 years on brushed stainless and 2 years on coated finishes.
