Description

A back-to-back pull knob set for solid interior doors in solid 304 stainless steel — one knob each side, bolted through to each other with concealed hardware, for doors 3/4″ to 2 1/4″ (19–57 mm) thick. It is the quietest way to put a grip on both faces of a door without adding a full-length handle: closet, pantry, powder-room and passage doors, and double doors where a bar handle would be too much. Designed and assembled in Vancouver, BC; in-stock orders ship in 1–3 workdays.

Profile

Two matching stainless knobs in the same five finishes as the JWL ‘I’, ‘J’ and ‘L’ door handles and the cabinet pull series. Knob diameter and projection are on the PDF spec sheet and DWG drawing in Downloads. For a single-sided knob, see the single door pull; for a full-length grip on both faces, see the ‘I’ or ‘J’+’L’ back-to-back sets.

Installation

Drill one hole through the door at the height on the drawing; the two knobs bolt to each other through it, so no fasteners show on either face. Connection hardware for solid doors 3/4″ to 2 1/4″ thick is included. Not for glass doors — use the glass door pull knob set, which has gaskets and fixings sized for 3/8″ and 1/2″ (10–12 mm) tempered glass.

Care

Solid 304 stainless steel resists corrosion in kitchens, bathrooms and laundries. Wipe with a damp cloth and mild soap and dry. Avoid chlorine-based cleaners and abrasive pads on the coated Matte Black, Satin Brass PVD and White finishes. Check thru-fixings once a year and snug them if the door has moved.

Frequently asked

Knob set or bar handle set — which do I need?

Choose the knob set where the door is used lightly or where a long handle would dominate a small door: closets, pantries, powder rooms, passage doors. Choose the ‘I’ or ‘J’+’L’ back-to-back bar sets (18–30″) for double doors, room dividers and any door pulled with a full hand many times a day.

What door thickness does the set fit?

Connection hardware for solid wood or composite doors 3/4″ (19 mm) to 2 1/4″ (57 mm) thick is included. The two knobs bolt to each other through a single hole, so there is no visible screw on either face. For glass doors 3/8″–1/2″ thick, use the JWL glass door pull knob set instead.

Will the knobs match my JWL cabinet pulls and door handles?

Yes. The set comes in the same five finishes — Brushed, Polished, Matte Black, Satin Brass PVD and White — as the full-length ‘I’, ‘J’ and ‘L’ door handles, the back-to-back bar sets and the 128–320 mm cabinet pulls, so knobs on secondary doors and bars on the kitchen read as one system.

Can I use one knob on its own?

Yes — the single door pull (thru-bolt mount) is the same knob fixed from the back of the door with one bolt, for doors that need a grip on one face only. The back-to-back set is for doors that open from both sides.

How quickly does it ship, and what is the warranty?

In-stock orders ship in 1–3 workdays from Vancouver, BC, to Canada and the US, with free shipping on orders over $500. JWL hardware carries a limited lifetime residential warranty on materials and workmanship; commercial installations are covered for 5 years on brushed stainless and 2 years on coated finishes. Full terms are at jwlhome.com/warranty.
