Description

A single door pull knob in solid 304 stainless steel with a concealed thru-bolt mount, fixed from the back of the door so nothing shows on the face; one knob, one side. It is used where a full-length handle would be visual clutter: a single interior door, a discreet service panel, a closet or utility door, or an appliance panel that needs only a fingertip grip. Designed and assembled in Vancouver, BC; in-stock orders ship in 1–3 workdays.

Profile

The knob is a compact stainless pull in the same five finishes as the JWL ‘I’, ‘J’ and ‘L’ door handles and the cabinet pull series, so it can sit beside full-length handles without changing the palette. Knob diameter and projection are given on the PDF spec sheet and DWG drawing in Downloads.

Installation

One thru-bolt from the back of the door pulls the knob tight to the face; no visible fasteners. Connection hardware for doors 3/4″ to 2 1/4″ thick is included. Drill a single hole at the height shown on the drawing. Where a grip is needed on both faces of the door, use the back-to-back pull knob set instead.

Care

Solid 304 stainless steel resists corrosion in kitchens, bathrooms and laundries. Wipe with a damp cloth and mild soap and dry. Avoid chlorine-based cleaners and abrasive pads on the coated Matte Black, Satin Brass PVD and White finishes. Check thru-fixings once a year and snug them if the door has moved.

Frequently asked

When should I use a pull knob instead of a bar handle?

Use the knob where the door is opened rarely or where a long handle would clutter the elevation: single interior doors, closet and utility doors, service panels and small appliance panels. Use an 18–30″ ‘I’, ‘J’ or ‘L’ bar handle on refrigerator panels, pantry doors and any door that is pulled with a full hand many times a day.

What door thickness does it fit?

Connection hardware for doors and panels 3/4″ (19 mm) to 2 1/4″ (57 mm) thick is included, covering standard interior doors, cabinet-grade panels and most millwork. The knob is fixed with a single thru-bolt from the back of the door, so there is no visible screw on the face. Contact JWL for thicker doors.

Can the knob be fitted to a panel-ready appliance?

Yes, where a fingertip grip is enough — for example a panel-ready dishwasher, beverage fridge or freezer drawer. The knob bolts through the custom panel, not the appliance, so brand does not matter; confirm the panel is 3/4″–2 1/4″ thick and check the knob position against the appliance door’s opening force.

Does the knob match JWL cabinet pulls and door handles?

Yes. It is offered in the same five finishes — Brushed, Polished, Matte Black, Satin Brass PVD and White — as the ‘I’, ‘J’ and ‘L’ door handles, the back-to-back sets and the 128–320 mm cabinet pulls, so a knob on a closet door and bar pulls on the kitchen cabinets read as one system.

How quickly does it ship, and what is the warranty?

In-stock orders ship in 1–3 workdays from Vancouver, BC, to Canada and the US, with free shipping on orders over $500. JWL hardware carries a limited lifetime residential warranty on materials and workmanship; commercial installations are covered for 5 years on brushed stainless and 2 years on coated finishes. Full terms are at jwlhome.com/warranty.
