A glass door set in solid 304 stainless steel pairing a ‘J’ or ‘L’ towel bar on the inside face with a pull knob on the outside, fixed through the glass as one assembly with a 2″ (51 mm) projection per side, in 18-1/2″, 24-1/2″ and 30-1/2″ lengths. It is used on frameless shower and walk-in enclosure doors that are pushed open from outside and need a towel rail inside. Designed and assembled in Vancouver, BC; ships in 1–3 workdays.
The ‘J’ and ‘L’ are mirror images of one another — the same bar with squared ends, the return running the opposite way. Choose either profile below; bar, projection, lengths, finishes and price are identical.

The ‘J’ towel bar has squared ends with the return on one side, made from 1″ x 1/2″ D-profile stainless bar and hand-welded. The return is normally set at the bottom, near the door edge. The outside pull knob is a plain cylinder in the same finish: Brushed, Polished, Matte Black, Satin Brass PVD or White.
The towel bar and knob thread together through holes in the glass; connection hardware is included. The knob shares the upper hole with the towel bar’s top leg, so only two holes are needed. Suitable for 3/8″ and 1/2″ (10–12 mm) tempered glass. Optional colour-matched or split-finish backplates are sold separately and raise projection to 2 3/8″ (60 mm). The towel bar comes in 18-1/2″, 24-1/2″ and 30-1/2″ lengths. An 18-1/2″ bar holds one folded bath towel; 24-1/2″ and 30-1/2″ hold two or a bath sheet. Check the center-to-center on the PDF spec sheet against your glass drilling, because the bar length fixes the hole spacing.
The towel bar and knob set is intended for 3/8″ and 1/2″ (10–12 mm) tempered glass, the usual range for frameless shower doors, and connection hardware for the glass is included. For glass outside that range, contact JWL before ordering. Holes must be cut before tempering; do not drill tempered glass.
All three put a towel bar inside and a knob outside. The ‘J’ and ‘L’ are mirror profiles — both have squared ends, with the return on opposite sides; the U bar has both ends returning to the glass symmetrically and is the lowest-priced. Choose by the door handle profile used elsewhere in the home.
Each set is supplied in one finish — Brushed, Polished, Matte Black, Satin Brass PVD or White. To introduce a second colour, JWL sells optional split-finish or colour-matched backplates separately; they fit between the hardware and the glass and add 3/8″ of projection per side.
