Appliance Handles for Panel-Ready Fridges, Dishwashers and Wine Fridges
This page covers JWL appliance handles: thru-bolt handles and pulls in solid 304 stainless steel or solid oak and walnut that mount through the millwork panel of a panel-ready appliance, projecting 2″ (51 mm) with lengths from 5″ cabinet pulls to 30 1/2″ fridge handles. They are used by designers, millworkers and homeowners fitting integrated fridge/freezers, dishwashers and wine or beverage fridges to match the kitchen’s cabinet hardware. Designed and assembled in Vancouver, BC; ships in 1–3 workdays.
How to choose
- Fridge and freezer doors: full-length I, J or L handles (18 1/2″–30 1/2″) or wood handles; pair a J with an L for French-door fridges
- Dishwashers: I series pulls (192/256/320 mm), the I thru-bolt handle or the 3″ U handle
- Wine and beverage fridges: I, J or L pulls in 5″–12.5″ or the I/U handles
- Confirm panel thickness is within 3/4″–2 1/4″ (19–57 mm); all included hardware covers this range

Frequently asked
Do these handles fit panel-ready appliances from Sub-Zero, Thermador, Miele, Bosch or Fisher & Paykel?
Yes. The handles bolt through the custom millwork panel that fronts a panel-ready appliance, not through the appliance itself, so brand does not matter. Mounting hardware included covers panel thicknesses from 3/4″ to 2 1/4″ (19–57 mm), and the handle projects 2″ (51 mm) from the panel face. Confirm your panel thickness before ordering.
What length handle should I use on an integrated fridge?
Most full-height panel-ready fridge and freezer doors take a 24 1/2″ or 30 1/2″ handle; 18 1/2″ suits drawer freezers and column doors under 30″ tall. Handles mount vertically or horizontally. For French-door fridges, order a J handle and an L handle so the rounded ends mirror at the center.
What is the difference between a pull and a handle?
Pulls are the cabinet-size bars (5″–12.5″, 1″ projection) that mount from the back with 8-32 break-off screws and suit dishwashers and wine fridges. Handles are the full-length door bars (18 1/2″–30 1/2″, 2″ projection) or the 3″ U grip, fixed with M5 thru-bolts and profile-matched back washers.
Which finishes are available?
All stainless handles and pulls come in five finishes: Brushed, Polished, Matte Black, Satin Brass PVD and White. The same five finishes run across cabinet pulls, appliance handles, door handles and glass door handles, so one finish can be carried through a kitchen, bathroom and closet without mixing suppliers.
How fast do orders ship, and what is the warranty?
In-stock orders ship in 1–3 workdays from Vancouver, BC to Canada and the US, with free shipping on orders over $500. Stainless handles carry a limited lifetime residential warranty on materials and workmanship (commercial: 5 yr brushed stainless, 2 yr coated). Full terms are at jwlhome.com/warranty.
