Description

A 3″ single-sided ‘U’ glass door handle, hand-welded in solid 304 stainless steel, thru-glass mounted with a matching back cap and a 2″ (51 mm) projection, in one size. It gives a two-finger grip on shower doors, glass swing doors and partitions where a full-length bar would be in the way. Designed and assembled in Vancouver, BC; in-stock orders ship in 1–3 workdays to Canada and the US.

Profile

Installation

Thru-glass mount with connection hardware included; the matching back cap closes the reverse face so the inside of the door stays clean. Optional color-matched or split-finish backplates are sold separately. DWG, 3D and PDF spec sheet downloads are on the page for setting hole positions.

Rinse and dry after showering; clean with mild soap and a soft cloth. Avoid abrasive pads, bleach and chloride cleaners on stainless or coated finishes. Is a 3-inch handle big enough for a shower door?

Yes for a swing door that is not heavy. The 3″ U gives a two-finger grip and stays clear of the door swing and adjacent fixtures. If you also want a towel rail or a full-hand grip, choose the full-length U, I or J glass door handle in 18″, 24″ or 30″.

What glass thickness does it fit?

This handle fits 3/8″ and 1/2″ (10–12 mm) tempered glass; gaskets are included. Holes must be cut before tempering — do not drill tempered glass. Send the CAD and PDF spec sheet to your glazier before the glass is ordered.

Can it be installed on both sides of the door?

This item is single-sided: one handle on the outside and a matching back cap on the inside. For a grip on both faces of a glass swing door, order the back-to-back glass door handle set.

Which finishes are available and do they match other JWL hardware?
